40 Under 40: Shivani Patel, ConnectiveRx

Shivani Patel’s career is a testament to her adaptability, innovation and unwavering commitment to simplifying patients’ lives. While she originally expected to enter a clinical field, her career evolved into a multifaceted one spanning various sectors of the healthcare industry.

Patel started her career at a family practice, focusing on quality improvement and patient access, and later joined the Primary Care Development Corp., where she became an NCQA patient-centered medical home content expert. 

In 2018, drawn to the pharmaceutical sector, Patel joined ConnectiveRx, managing critical patient support programs for pharma brands. She was later promoted to business development director, a role where she uses a blend of solutions-oriented thinking and extensive operational knowledge to tackle complex commercialization challenges. Looking ahead, she hopes to mix strategic vision with hands-on leadership.

Patel is also very involved in the New Jersey South Asian community and performs and teaches classical Indian dance.
